What Is AIM2Flourish?

AIM2Flourish is a program housed at the Fowler Center for Business. It is used by professors around the world to facilitate student research on positive and profitable business innovations that advance the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (Global Goals) established by the United Nations.

Under the direction of Professor Matthew Mulhern, Stephanie Svaikauskas, Seth England and Emily Stacy researched GROSCHE International Inc’s Safe Water Project.

This initiative provides communities in underdeveloped countries with infiltration systems for safe drinking water. Their story The Road to Clean Water was recognized for Global Goal #6, Clean Water and Sanitation.

“GROSCHE International Inc is in the business of tea and coffee products but also in the business of action. Action to take action, and better the lives of those who are not able on their own, teaching and developing communities how to make, install and maintain water filtration systems and providing communities with the tools to succeed.” – The Road To Clean Water

How GROSCHE Contributes To Clean Water

Thousands of people around the world lack access to clean drinking water. GROSCHE’s mission is to help change that.

Our company is tied with our Safe Water Project initiative, meaning for every GROSCHE purchase made we fund 50+ days of safe drinking water to communities in need in underdeveloped countries.

By choosing us, you choose coffee, tea and hydration products with purpose. Together, we’ve supplied over 121 million days of safe drinking water to families in need.

Today, we’re making an impact in six different countries:

  • South Sudan
  • Uganda
  • Malawi
  • India
  • Pakistan
  • The Philippines

How It Works

We supply safe drinking water to communities in need through the use of Biosand filters. These filters are an adaptation of slow sand filters and use multiple layers to strain water. Biosand filters are a great water source because they’re a simple type of water clean technology and create easy access to clean water.

Countries who lack the infrastructure to support a water system truly benefit from Biosand filters because they’re easy to build and maintain.
