  • 3 Tbsp of sugar
  • 1 Tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder

How To Make a Homemade Candy Cane Mocha

Step One

In a small saucepan add milk, cocoa powder, sugar, vanilla extract and your candy canes. Place on medium heat.

Occasionally stir until bubbles begin to appear around the edges and the candy canes fully dissolve into your mix.

As stated in the ingredients, the amount of candy canes placed within your mixture is entirely up to you! In this recipe I used two mini candy canes and found it the perfect amount for a subtle but satisfying peppermint taste.

Step Two

Time to add your espresso. You can easily brew your espresso at home using a moka pot. I used the most popular one on the market; the GROSCHE MILANO Stovetop Espresso Maker.

I recommend using Smooth Silver Espresso or Gold Espresso for the best tasting mocha that gives an extra kick.

Step Three

Stir in your espresso. If you find that your mixture looks very dark, it means that it has a strong mix of coffee.

If you’re not a huge fan of a coffee taste and you’d prefer a weaker mocha, you can add more milk to lighten up the mixture.

Once this is done your candy cane mocha is ready to go, which leads us to our next step..

Step Four

Time to serve! Pour the mixture into a glass. You can add some whipped cream on top, finish it off with crushed candy cane pieces and voila. You’ve just made a delicious, homemade candy cane mocha.
