Unsure of which grind to pick? We have made this super handy grinder chart that breaks down all of the different types of grinds and what types of brewers they are optimal for. For best practices consider using a coarse to medium grind for a french press and pour over coffee makers where as a fine grind for stovetop espresso makers.
Types of Coffee Roasts: Medium Roast
There are a variety of different ways a coffee bean can be roasted and each type of roast will affect the taste of your morning up of coffee. Its important to consider different coffee roasts before you decide which coffee bean you purchase.
Medium roast coffee beans, such as the Kenyan Special Medium Roast, are more a balanced flavour and acidity than a light roast. A medium roast coffee is slightly sweeter than a light roast but is not as sweet as a dark roast (which tends to have an almost chocolatey flavour profile to it).
100% Arabica Coffee Beans
Arabica beans are known for their smoother and sweeter flavour.
Some coffee experts say the coffee taste has hints of chocolate to it. Because of the arabica coffee plant’s higher natural sugar content, it offers a more balanced flavour with less bitterness.
These coffee beans are a fantastic option if you are looking to get 100% arabica coffee beans Canada.

How to Store Your Coffee Beans
Fresh coffee beans require a bit more care than instant coffee – but the payoff is a fantastic cup of coffee. To keep your coffee beans fresh for as long as possible, we recommend storing them in an opaque, air-tight container. We do not recommend storing them in a freezer, as this creates moisture and alters the taste of the beans. Instead, it’s best to store your coffee in a dark cool location away from light to preserve the beans.
