Cinnamon Tea Benefits

Cinnamon is without a doubt one of the tastiest and healthiest spices in the world. This spice is made from the bark of trees called cinnamomum. It has been used as an ingredient for an array of recipes for years due to its satisfying taste and the benefits it provides. These benefits include: powerful medicinal properties, rich in antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties, reduce risk of heart disease, may help fight the HIV virus, helps fight fungal and bacterial infections, and may be protective against cancer. To get the most benefits from cinnamon, it’s best to use ‘true’ cinnamon called Ceylon.

How to Steep it

Delicious and satisfying as a tea latte whether complimented with hot or cold frothed milk.

To enjoy it hot add one teaspoon of loose leaf tea for 12 oz (350 ml) of water. Let it steep for 2-3 minutes in 100 degrees C water and enjoy. If you want to turn it into a latte heat and froth your milk of choice.

To enjoy it cold add 2 teaspoons of loose leaf tea for 9 oz (263 ml) of water. Let it steep for 2-3 minutes in 100 degrees C water. Add any sweeteners when hot, pour it over ice and enjoy.
