The first French press that I bought was a glass Bodum, and after a few years, it did chip, which is why I was adamant about my next press being unbreakable, which led me to the Dublin. The press is well designed, it comes with two spare mesh filters, it is sleek, stunning and very easy to clean. Because it is insulated it will keep the coffee hot, and the exterior does not get too hot. What I love most is that it has no plastic parts that come in contact with hot water. I love their mandate for corporate social responsibility, but this isn't just a statement of theirs. They are B Certified (I checked the B Corp directory and verified that Grosche is listed confirming that they are a Canadian company "Using Business as a Force for Good"), so I also love that they are a Canadian company. It also pours so nicely! The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the press should include internal volume graduations marking ¼ L, ½ L, ¾ L, and 1 L. To me that is a basic feature because the ratio of coffee grind to water is key, and consequently a non-negotiable. I shouldn't have to measure out the amount of water for my electric kettle. Please make this a part of the redesign. :) The last minor comment I will offer is that I did a test with soapy hands and held this unit, and found it hard to hold, so a future design should consider some type of a knurl on the handle, but I can understand that it would change the beautiful sleek look. Thanks for a great product, this will last me for decades and it is one that I would highly recommend to anyone.
