The Milk Oolong tea is a unique and high grade of Oolong tea from Fujian province in China. It is a super grade of Ti Kuan Yin Oolong tea. The flavor notes include milk and honey orchids. This is a premium naturally soft tasting tea. It is a great all day sipping tea.
Drink your milk Oolong tea hot or cold
For hot brewed tea, brew your Milk Oolong tea at 90°C/194°F or higher. It has a natural sweetness and orchid and milk like tasting notes. Therefore it is great both hot as well as iced. For a cold brew place some leaves in room temperature water for 8+ hours. This tea will brew a mellow flavour, with slow extraction and fewer tannins, resulting in less bitterness. The Oolong leaf is semi-fermented. What semi fermented tea means is that in terms of colour and flavour it falls roughly mid-way between black and green teas.
Antioxidant benefits
Milk oolongs have fairly high antioxidant levels. Also, more antioxidants are extracted from the tea leaves when steeping them longer. Around 3/4 teaspoon to 1 teaspoon of this tea is usually enough to make a tea mug with medium flavor strength. This Oolong milk tea not only tastes good, but can help you with your health too.
