This refreshing lemon green tea blend represents a classic combination. Green tea drinkers have been adding lemon drops into their cups for a long time. So we thought we should make a custom blend for anyone that enjoys that fresh and tart lemon edge with their green tea. With all natural lemon fruit pieces and quality gunpowder style green tea from Sri Lanka, this is a very refreshing tea to enjoy. It brews great both hot or iced.
How to brew lemon green tea
The key thing to pay attention to when making green tea is the water temperature. Be sure to avoid pouring boiling water over your green tea. Boiling water can scorch the delicate leaves of a green tea. that can over extract the tannins in the leaf making it bitter. Since this is a full leaf tea, you will want a teapot that has ample room for the tea leaves to expand and unfold. That will release the full flavor of the strawberry green tea. Our favourite way to enjoy this lemon green tea is with honey. It perfectly complements the tartness of the lemon and makes this a very soothing tea.
Hot tea
- 1 heaping teaspoon of tea | 12 oz. / 350 ml of water
- Steep for 3-4 minutes | water temperature: 75 C/ 170 F
Iced tea
For the iced tea, brew a hot concentrate, add your sweetener (if desired) and then pour it over ice.
