The history of Earl grey tea
Black tea with the oil of bergamot has been enjoyed in England since at least the 1820’s and 1830’s. The Earl Grey blend of black tea has been said to be named after Charles Grey. Among the notable achievements of the famous Earl’s government was the abolition of slavery in the British Empire. Earl Grey with bergamot is was his favorite type of tea.
