100% organic and Fairtrade Certified™
The YIRGACHEFFE ETHIOPIA is a responsibly grown coffee that is 100% organic providing you with a coffee that is pure, pesticide and herbicides free and full of flavour. The YIRGACHEFFE ETHIOPIA is also Fairtrade Certified™. Fairtrade empowers small-scale farmers and provides them with better prices, decent working conditions and fair terms of trade.
Whole bean coffee
We ship all our coffees as whole bean coffees. This allows you to custom grind your beans for your preferred brewing method. It also means that you get the freshest and most aromatic tasting coffee every time. Use a coarse to medium grind for French press and pour over coffee makers and a fine grind for stovetop espresso makers.
How to store your coffee
A common misconception about storing coffee is that is good to put it in the freezer. Freezing your coffee puts it in contact with moisture which ends up draining it of its flavor. The best place to store your YIRGACHEFFE ETHIOPIA is within an airtight container, somewhere cool, dark and dry. This could be a pantry or a cabinet, just as long as it’s somewhere away from heat and light. If you really want to store your coffee on your counter, keep the coffee in a canister that is opaque, airtight, and away from direct sunlight. Use it up within 1-2 weeks of opening to enjoy a coffee with the freshest, fullest aroma.
