Maple Cream Puff Green Tea
The base leaf for this delightful flavoured green tea comes from a small estate in Sri Lanka known to produce some of the finest of its kind. It is dried, rolled, and then dried again in a process that can last 8 to 12 hours. The result is a fabulous maple cream puff green tea brewed hot or cold; unique in flavour and character. Maple Cream Puff makes a delectable dessert tea due to the sugary caramel-like essence of its prominent maple tones. The nature of the gunpowder green tea allows for multiple, flavourful infusions, which allows a little tea to go a long way! So enjoy one cup or enjoy three!
How to Steep it
To make this tea hot, add one teaspoon of loose leaf for 12 oz. (350 ml) of water. Let it steep for 2-3 minutes in 80 degrees C water. Make sure not to use water any hotter as it will result in bitter and astringent tea.
To make it cold, add one teaspoon of loose leaf tea for 9 oz. (263 ml) of water. Let it steep for 2-3 minutes in 80 degrees C water.
For an icy sweet treat, brew a pitcher using the iced tea method and sweeten with real maple syrup.
GROSCHE Safe Water Project
Almost 800 million people lack access to safe drinking water. Our mission is to reduce that number through our GROSCHE Safe Water Project. That’s why for every 100 g of this tea sold, we provide safe drinking water to people in need. Thank you for helping us “b the change”. We couldn’t do it without you.
