A quality green tea blend with Jasmine flowers
This loose-leaf Jasmine green tea from GROSCHE is a combination of high-quality green tea and Jasmine flowers. The Jasmine blossoms enhance the flavour of the green tea even more. This also gives the tea a visual appeal and natural jasmine petal flavours. To produce Jasmine tea, it is important to begin with high quality green tea that has been produced between the middle of March and the middle of May. Equally important for jasmine tea are fine jasmine blossoms which bloom between the 1st of May and the end of May.
What is Jasmine tea?
Jasmine flowers are picked early in the day when the small petals haven’t bloomed yet. The flowers are kept cool until nightfall. During the night jasmine flowers open, and release their fragrance, and this is when the tea scenting takes place. There are two main methods to scent the tea with the jasmine. In one method the tea and flowers are placed in alternating layers; in the other, the tea is blended with jasmine flowers and stored overnight. This tea is blended with the flowers themselves.
Health benefits of Jasmine green tea
The benefits of green tea are still being studied. There are some studies reporting several benefits like weight loss – but there is no doubt about the high levels of antioxidants it contains. Jasmine is loved for its sweet fragrance and the delicate flavour of its white blossoms. This makes drinking green tea with jasmine as pleasant as it is healthy.
