Product Description

The Insulated French press coffee maker that keeps your drink hot longer

The FINO insulated French press coffee maker from GROSCHE comes with a Neoprene sleeve to insulate heat and keep your freshly brewed coffee or tea hot longer. Perfect for coarse ground coffee or loose-leaf tea, the FINO coffee press allows the grounds or tea leaves to infuse within just a few minutes. It produces a rich and flavourful brew that you’ll love.

Premium quality glass

The glass beaker of the FINO insulated coffee and tea press is made of SCHOTT DURAN® borosilicate glass. This dishwasher-safe and heatproof glass beaker is made in Germany. It is then transported to our production facility where the French press is assembled.

Dual filter press

The FINO Insulated French press coffee maker features a dual filter system that combines a stainless steel plate filter with an ultra-fine nylon mesh filter. The strong coil spring will keep the mesh filter tight to the glass beaker wall. This will stop the coffee grinds from passing by during pressing or pouring.

Easy to use, easy to clean

The FINO French press is not just easy to use, but also much better for the environment than traditional coffee makers as it does not require any electricity or paper filters to brew your coffee or tea. The coffee press features a large and sturdy handle that lets you pour your tea or coffee easily. The tea and coffee maker is dishwasher-safe, but we recommend hand washing the components in order to prolong its life.

GROSCHE Safe Water Project

GROSCHE is a Social Enterprise and a certified B Corp on a mission to do good in the world. For every product sold, GROSCHE creates 50+ days of safe drinking water for someone in need through the GROSCHE Safe Water project.

starsHigh quality french press with insulated sleeve and extra mesh screen included!I was very surprised and quite pleased with this purchase. Honestly I did not expect this be of the high quality that it is. I have several other french press coffee makers and the glass on this particular press is noticeably thicker than my others. It makes a great cup of coffee with of course using freshly ground coffee beans. The filter screen does not allow coffee grinds to come through even with a finer grind. I have always had an issue with this previously. Also the insulated sleeve that comes with it keeps the coffee warm while it is brewing. It attaches snugly with velcro and is very easy to put on and take off. Hot coffee is very important and I always put hot water in the carafe while boiling my water. After adding the coffee to the press, I put just enough water to cover the coffee, stir and let sit for one minute (to allow the coffee to "bloom"). Then add the remaining water and leave to brew for about 3 more minutes. Also included with this purchase is an extra filter screen! This is a great deal and worth the money if you like a good cup of coffee.

This insulated french press is what I have always wanted and had no idea existed. So happy to have found it.I usually make my tea in a french press because I use loose leaf tea and various medicinal herbs in my blends. I find the ability of the tea to swirl around in the water allows it to steep much deeper than in those tea balls. I will often make a big batch and drink it with my husband so using a french press works well for us. Up until now I have always used the same french press for my coffee and my tea. Obviously this isn't ideal and I would often taste the bitter aftertaste of coffee in my floral/earthy cups of herbal tea. Not great. We now use this one exclusively for our tea and our old one for coffee. My husband and I were always wrapping our french press up in a kitchen towel and often talked about needing an insulated french press. Then I saw this one! It is perfect. Exactly what we were looking for. At night I start the tea just before putting my baby down to sleep then often forget about the tea for a while. This insulated sleeve keeps the tea warm much longer than the old kitchen towel we used to use. It can easily sit an hour and still be a good temperature. The insulating sleeve even wraps around the bottom not just around the sides.
The container holds about 3 decent size cups worth of liquid. Almost all of container is glass or metal which is important to me. None of the parts the hot water touches are plastic (except the few seconds when you are pouring it out and it touches the inside lid). The filter it comes with is actually two parts. One metal mesh and one super fine mesh that appears to be plastic. The plastic one can be removed if you want and the remaining metal mesh filter is still really good. The filter on this french press is the best I have owned and it really helps get out all those little pieces. I would guess it would be really good at getting the sludge out of coffee though I won't be using this press for coffee at all so I may never know.
A few small things would have made this french press better (though also much more expensive I bet) would be to have the lids internal plastic piece to be ceramic or some other material good at insulating. I understand metal isn't great at insulating so the plastic helps achieve this. The ceramic would be a nice alternative but really not that important since the water doesn't actually touch it much. The other thing would be to design the lid to have a position where it blocks off the spout for further insulation while steeping. The spout constantly open does cause the container to loose some heat. Again, this change would add a good amount of complexity to the manufacturing and I'm sure a higher price point so I can totally live without it. I was lucky enough to purchase this product at a special promotional price. I hope my review has been helpful.

Exactly what I needed! Holds heat for about 1,5-2 hrsI already have one French press, and the only problem I always wanted to fix with it is that it didn't hold the temperature! And I love to sip my coffee/tee slowly.

This French press was a perfect answer! As soon as I saw it online, I was very excited to try it out. It's a nice looking, good quality product. I would like to stress: good quality. It is solid, sturdy, all parts a robust, the chrome is shiny and the filter mesh is fine and efficient. .

Capacity is enough for two big mug. It filters really well, leaving no residue in the coffee poured into a mug, and is cleaned really easy. The glass is good quality and the whole press structure is robust - I see no ways it could be broken any time soon. But the BEST thing about it is the "coat" - neoprene sleeve that keeps the French press warm for a while. I have tested it for the period of 1 to 2 hours - after one hour the tea/coffee was pleasantly hot. By the end of second hour - just warm, but still drinkable. This is not perfect, but so much better than un-insulated presses. And, really, 1,5 hours is enough to be done with your coffee (in my opinion).

The neoprene sleeve is very easy to use, "user-friendly" and, again, good quality. I was relieved to see that even the bottom of the press was insulated, since it is, in my opinion, the biggest problem - the press cools down really fast when sitting on a cold kitchen countertop.

I am 100% satisfied with this product (it delivers what it promises) and would recommend it to anyone.

This is really a terrific press, the quality is superbThis is really a terrific press, the quality is superb. For the price point, it's a great value.

The one I had previously seemed to have very thin glass; I was always afraid of breaking it. The glass on this press seems thicker and more sturdy. Don't get me wrong, it's still thin glass, but not as thin as other's I've used.

The handle is plastic, but it's very sturdy. It's set far enough away from the glass that you can safely grab it with hot coffee inside and not worry about being burned.

The lid is very substantial. It is polished (or chromed?) metal with a plastic lining inside (two separate layers), This should help a little with holding in the heat.

The metal screen is well made. The seams are affixed and will likely hold up for a while. It does comes with an extra metal filter for whenever this one does start to fray. It also has another filter, it's a fine mesh filter which helps keep the finer grit out of the coffee once it's pressed. I don't mind the grit, but if you do, this will help!

The included neoprene jacket does pretty well at insulating. I brewed a batch and it sat an hour between cup one and cup two. Cup two was still warm enough to drink! It also comes with a cork coaster, which looks a little nicer while sitting on the counter, and also probably helps a little with heat loss through the bottom.

I can't really think of anything negative. Maybe that it's not insulated? But that's not a fault of this product, just the nature of glass french presses. If you need it to stay warm, either pour it into an insulated carafe or spend more on an insulated stainless steel press.

I was thrilled with this press, very happy with the quality, I'm sure I'll be using it for years to come. The insulation helps set this one apart from other models and brands. Should I ever happen to break it, I'll very likely stick with GROSCHE as a replacement!
