The ATHENS coffee and tea press allows the grounds or tea leaves to infuse within minutes, producing a rich beverage that you’ll love. This 8 cup / 1000 ml French press makes two to three large cups of coffee or tea, perfect for two people.

 

Premium quality glass

With its German SCHOTT DURAN® borosilicate glass beaker, the ATHENS is a true premium premium glass cafetière . This glass beaker is dishwasher-safe and heatproof. It is made in Germany and then transported to our production facility where the 8 cup French press is assembled. Protected by a durable plastic housing, the ATHENS won’t leave heat marks on your wooden table tops.

 

Dual filter mechanism

Capture all of the flavour in your cup while capturing all of the grinds in your coffee press. The dual filter mechanism combines a stainless steel plate filter with an ultra-fine nylon filter. The strong coil spring keeps the filter tight to the glass beaker wall, preventing the coffee grinds and tea leaves from passing by during pressing or pouring.

 

Cold-brew ready

With its ultra-fine nylon micro-mesh filter, the ATHENS French press coffee maker is also suited for making cold brew coffee. Try infusing coarse or medium ground coffee beans in cold water overnight and pressing those 12-18 hours later for a milder and more refreshing version of your favourite coffee. Not only does cold brew coffee taste great, also has a lower acidity level than regular coffee.
